From backyard timber lures to working with the best lure factories in the world. Producing ABS Hard bodies and TPE soft plastics lures. Barambah Lures is at the forefront of new lure design to cover more options. Providing anglers with market leading products to target a wide range of species, in both saltwater and fresh. 

Barambah is the Aboriginal name for ‘a place where water ripples’. Barambah Creek in the South Burnett region of Queensland, is where Matt grew up and developed his passion for fishing.

Fishing Background

With well over 30 years of tournament fishing experience. From ANSA tournaments, line class IGFA World Records,  ABT bream, bass and barra tournament results, including a Bream Grand Final win. Multiple Flathead Classic top ten results. Matt has a great depth of knowledge in both fresh and saltwater fishing. 

Tackle Design and Manufacturing Experience

In 2003, Matt started making Nitro Jigheads in his backyard shed. He built the brand for three years before selling it to Pure Fishing, and taking on design consultant role with Pure Fishing Australia for 9 years. As a side project, Matt started timber lure-making in 2016, within a year it blew up, and he went fulltime with Barambah in 2018. He couldn't keep up with demand, so started his first production run of lures in 2019 and has continued to develop the range.
